Casey Dorman, Ph.D., (UW BS 1965, MS, 1967, Ph.D. 1970) has published 20 refereed journal articles and 1 book (Cognitive Effects of Early Brain Injury; Johns Hopkins Series in Neuroscience and Psychiatry, Baltimore: Johns Hopkins University Press), He has been a professor of psychology and Dean of the School of Human Behavior at United States International University in San Diego (Now Alliant International University). He is a also a novelist and has recently published his fourth novel, I, Carlos, a futuristic detective thriller, and was in Seattle signing his novel at Elliot Bay Book Company  on March 25, 2005, at 7:30 pm.

Dane Narbaitz, formerly Northwest area sales supervisor for Robert Mondavi Corp., has joined Long Shadows Vintners as Vice President, Sales and Marketing effective immediately.  Long Shadows, led by former Chateau Ste. Michelle CEO Allen Shoup, is a consortium of ultra-premium wineries established in 2003.  

Narbaitz’s success representing ultra-premium wineries on-premise as well as his experience managing all areas of distribution and sales management made him the ideal candidate for the job.  “Dane is a seasoned veteran with a proven track record for building high-end wines,” says Shoup.  “He understands the importance of channel management and brings strong trade relationships to the Long Shadows team.”
