Event Details
Adele Diamond is one of the few founders of the field of Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience. She holds the Canada Research Chair Tier 1 Professorship in Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. She is one of the world's top most leading researchers on the development of the cognitive functions. From the start of 1980, she has been studying these functions from their earliest beginnings in infancy throughout the lifespan in clinical and “normal” populations. Her research on the genetic disorder, PKU (phenylketonuria) changed medical guidelines worldwide.
Dr. Diamond's visit is made possible by the Allen Edwards Endowed Lectureship in Psychology and The Evergreen School, Shoreline, WA
