Advising notes:
I provide research assistantship opportunities in my studies to both graduate and undergraduate students. I view these positions as opportunities for learning how to conduct rigorous science in a very collegial work environment. Such opportunities have historically led to students becoming authors on peer-reviewed scientific articles. These opportunities may lead to my serving as a member of students’ doctoral dissertation committees. I also provide clinical case supervision to clinical psychology doctoral students. Treatment approaches in case supervision include Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, traditional forms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Clinical content areas in case supervision are anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and health behavior change.
