My research has focused on the response of ethnic minorities in a randomized clinical trial of two types of behavioral treatments for relationship distress. It is a dual site study, with Andy Christensen, Ph.D. as the PI at UCLA. My dissertation will focus on the 5 year follow-up of these same couples. I am also working on another study within the project where I am looking at how interracial couples talk about their problems. A question of interest is do interracial couples discuss their issues as stemming from cultural differences. I have also been actively involved in teaching about racism at the undergraduate level.
