For Faculty
John Holmes, UW Libraries Psychology Librarian
For faculty, I can
Provide research skills instruction to your classes
- I can work with your class once or multiple times in a quarter to teach your students the research skills they need to succeed. (These sessions can happen in your classroom or in a library computer lab.)
- I can create webpages and handouts to teach and reinforce skills your students need.
- I can meet with your students individually and in groups outside of class time.
Help you create research assignments for your classes
- I can collaborate with you to create research assignments that target specific outcomes and best utilize the UW Libraries resources.
Purchase books and journals to serve your teaching and research needs
- I can purchase books and journals for the UW Libraries collections from my psychology materials budget.
- I can purchase specific titles that you request (e.g. Annual Review of Clinical Psychology).
- I can collaborate with you to build the UW Libraries collections in areas that are currently underrepresented or in need of growth.
Assist you with your own research
- I can work with you in-person, via email, or via instant messaging to help you locate information for your research. (My IM screen names are listed here.)
Please contact me for any of the above, and for other questions and needs you have!
