Project Description:

The Circle of Friends for Mental Health is currently seeking student interns. This non-profit organization strives to bring support and useful skills to low income participants. The interns not only have the freedom to express their own creativity in art, drama, music, craft, and creative writing, but also get the chance to create lesson plans and execute them, teaching others how to enjoy and express themselves in artistic endeavors. Coordinators and Grant Writers. Often support for persons with mental illnesses consists solely of food and housing but with no other funding for the enrichments and enjoyments that develop one's outlook and fulfillment. The Circle aims to build socialization, respect, and skills for these neglected individuals. The organization is becoming a noticeable part of the community, receiving support from framing shops, local artists, musicians, and writers.
