Families and Friends of Missing Persons & Violent Crime Victims is a nonprofit organization that serves victims of crime and the loved ones of missing persons. Our main office is located in Everett, but we have satellite offices in Seattle, Mount Vernon, and Bellingham. We serve all of King, Snohomish, Island, Skagit, Whatcom and San Juan counties. We are looking to fill the Victim Advocate position with either an intern or a volunteer. The person in this position will do a variety of different things including, but not limited to, courtroom support, support group facilitation, crisis intervention on the 24-hour crisis line, and one-on-one advocacy. This is an open opportunity- there is no specific start or end date.

Skills / Experience Preferred:

Volunteers must complete the 30-hour Victim Advocacy training, provided either by Families and Friends or by the Washington State Coalition of Crime Victim Advocates (WCCVA). We ask these volunteers to make at least a 6-month commitment. Weekly hours vary depending on the case that is currently being worked on. Please contact Dina Currier, Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator, at 425-252-6081 or dina@fnfvcv.org with questions.
