Short Project Description
The goal of this project is to examine the role social learning plays in the development of communication and echolocation calls in the big brown bat, Eptesicus fuscus. In addressing this question, audio recordings of infant bats raised under different auditory conditions will be analyzed using digital audio software. We are looking for someone who is interested in behavioral research and bioacoustics to help examine our data. This person_s duties will include looking at and listening to recordings of the pups while logging the significant features of each call.
