Short Project Description
The purpose of this research is to gain a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying the process of concurrent smoking and drinking among college student smokers who engage in heavy episodic drinking. Study recruitment will occur with the help of social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace. Participants will use smart phones to complete online assessments about their drinking and tobacco use over the course of 21 days. This next phase of this study will involve developing and evaluating an online intervention for heavy drinking and smoking.
