Short Project Description

iCHAMP is a 2 year NIDA funded research project. The purpose of this research is to develop, implement, and evaluate efficacy of an in-person motivational intervention to reduce marijuana use among frequent marijuana using college students. The research will be conducted in two Phases. Phase 1 will be a small investigator pilot to review our intervention materials and to determine if any changes are necessary prior to launching our randomized control trial. Phase 2 will be the randomized control trial conducted on two campuses. Recruitment will occur on two different campuses, the University of Washington and The Evergreen State College. Participants will complete online assessments about their marijuana use and be invited to participate in a personalized feedback interview about their marijuana use.
