Psychology Study Center

Photo of students in UW Psychology CenterAll undergraduate psychology majors and pre-majors are welcome to use the Psychology Study Center, located in Room 210 in Johnson Annex. This space offers three computers for student use, several small tables for studying and a conference table for larger groups. Instructors and TAs are encouraged to use this room for review sessions and office hours.

Please let the Psychology Advising Office know if you would like to reserve this space for a meeting or event. We are happy to accommodate your requests. Additionally, please let us know if you have any suggestions for improving the center.

Psychology Writing Center

The Psychology Writing Center offers one-on-one consulting, writing guides (handouts), and other resources to help psychology undergraduates with writing.

Our staff of graduate students and faculty offer help with general and scientific writing (including APA format), as well as with preparing personal statements for graduate school and resumes.

We're a learning resource, not an editing or proofreading service. This means that we help you to identify where your writing might need improvement. You, the student, take an active part in the revision process.

It is your resource for working with data, creating graphical displays of results, and running statistical tests. Most important, though, are the resources of your teaching assistants and colleagues, who congregate at the SAM Lab in a harmonious exchange of ideas and insight
