Learning Goals for Psychology 322: Introduction to Drugs and Behavior

Course Learning Goals:- To develop a working knowledge base of the fundamentals in pharmacology and behavioral pharmacology that will enable you to take more advanced classes and to read journal articles and books on the topic area (assessed in exams).
- To appreciate the limitations of our knowledge about pharmacology and behavioral pharmacology and to tolerate the ambiguity associated with those limitations and process course material on a level that will enable you to flexibly recall and apply it (assessed in exams).
- To participate in discussions about pharmacology and behavioral pharmacology and engage in critical thinking about the topics (assessed in e-post contributions).
- To utilize your classmates as a resource by actively posting questions and responses on the discussion board (assessed in e-post contributions).
- To formulate written and oral arguments based on scientific evidence (assessed in brief in-class essays).
