Learning Goals for Psychology 421: Neural Basis of Behavior

Course Learning Goals:- To develop a working knowledge base of the fundamentals in Neurophysiology and Physiological Psychology that will enable you to take more advanced classes and to read journal articles and books on the topic area (assessed by small research paper).
- To appreciate the limitations of our knowledge about Neurophysiology and Physiological Psychology and the ambiguity associated with those limitations. To synthesize your knowledge by explaining how the different parts of Neurophysiological systems interact to influence behavior (assessed by exams).
- To process course material on a level that will enable you to flexibly recall and apply it (assessed by weekly exams).
- To utilize your classmates as a resource by actively posting questions and responses on the discussion board (assessed by e-post discussion board contributions).
