Departmental Learning Goals for PSYCH 471: Applied Issues in Cognition

- The student will understand the relevance of cognitive issues in the real world settings such as the workplace and in education.
- The student will understand the methods and techniques used to study cognition "in the wild" and how they differ from the method used in controlled laboratory settings.
- The student will identify a particular relevant real world issue and adapt and apply such techniques to study it.
- The student will analyze and present the results of their study.
- The student will write a written report of that study using scientific writing style.
